DESCRIPTION:On July 29th and 30th in historic Cottage Hill\, travel to the world of Freedom through a live\, staged reading of a short story published in Spring 2024. \nSet in 1935 in the Black community of Freedom\, Alabama\, Moonbeam describes the night a Blues singer named Twilight Hawkins and a hairdresser named Miss Mabel Pugh bore witness to tragedy and in it found common ground\, an unlikely friendship\, and an answer to their prayers.
