Native Plant Workshop

September 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free
It’s my annual native plant workshop!! I’ve asked many of you for ideas, so I’m going to cram as much info into it as I can! xD
I know we love fall (pumpkins, less stifling heat etc), but at the same time it can be sad to see another season of flowers and butterflies come to an end. BUT WAIT! There’s still SO MUCH we can be doing during fall!
Fall is the BEST time to get started with native plants for the next year! We’re gonna talk about:
* Planning new flower beds that your neighbors won’t hate
* Collecting seeds and doing cold stratification if needed
* Some cool plants you might want to include in your plans like unusual ground covers and weird edibles
* Why we wanna put new natives in the ground NOW so they have all winter to get themselves tucked in
* Preparing safe overwintering spaces for the last of this year’s pollinators
* And some other stuff!!!
September 26th, 10am to noon
245 High Street, 2nd floor of the Juliette Hampton Morgan Library
FREE but if you would kindly rsvp here so that I can bring enough seeds and sand for our SEED STRATIFICATION DEMO!
