The Power of Community – South & Appalachian Creative Placemaking Conference
April 1 - April 3
South & Appalachian Creative Placemaking Conference Montgomery 2025, will be focused on cities with populations under 200,000, rural areas and Appalachian communities who are incorporating arts and culture into placemaking, placekeeping and place honoring.
The theme of the conference is centered on social and economic justice, equity and inclusion, and grassroots community-led efforts that create positive impact and enhance the quality of life for smaller communities across the Southern U.S.
Topics will examine:

•Creating transformative systems change
•Supporting climate-resilience
•Addressing gentrification through arts and cultural efforts
•Advancing social, racial and economic justice
•Grassroots efforts and collective action
